travnik2Regional Museum of Travnik announced several cultural events that will take place this summer at the medieval fortress in Old Town.

Habiba Omanović will every day, except for Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., demonstrate the unique skill of weaving traditional cotton cloth  called “bez” and remind visitors on this extremely valuable, but long-forgotten craft.

On the 28th of August, in the gun-powder factory located in Travnik fortress, a place that is described in works of Ivo Andrić, a museum exhibition about the novel “Travnik Chronicles” will be set up, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the publication of this novel.

Professor of fine arts, Velid Trkić, is organizing a workshop about the mosaic “1463 stones for the Old Town,” which will take place from the 1st to 7th August, and the main aim is to make the architectural basis of the fortress of Stari Grad from the stone chips.
