spagouda-mesicThe restoration of the only Turkish bath in the Gouda, Netherlands last year, based on the idea of Bosnian Samir Mešić, was named the restoration of the year in this country.

The decision was made by the Fund for Restoration of National Monuments of the Netherlands, and the award ceremony was organized in ‘Spa Gouda’, with owner who is originally from Bosanski Petrovac.

‘Spa Gouda’ is a superb example of how a building can obtain a social role again to meet the demands and desires of modern times, highlighted the foundation.

After the handing out of the awards to representatives of this fund, as well as architects and other guests, Mešić showed the inside of the 90 year old Turkish bath, the only one in the Netherlands, and whose restoration cost more than one million Euros.
