Union of Doctors in BiH to hold One Hour Protest

The Union of Doctors of Canton 10 will hold a one-hour warning strike today in all health facilities. Work will be suspended from 11 a.m. to noon. According to the trade union, the reason for this measure is the two-year delay in starting negotiations on a new collective agreement, and the ministry completely ignores a series of calls by the doctors’ union and other health unions to start negotiations.

The decision on the warning strike was made by the Assembly of the Union of Doctors of Canton 10, and it was supported, as stated in the statement, by other unions in the health sector.

One of the reasons for this move of the Union of Physicians is the lowest hourly rate and coefficients compared to the rest of the Federation, and consequently the lowest basic salary of health care workers compared to other cantons in the Federation of BiH.

The Trade Union is asking patients and citizens of Canton 10 to have an understanding for their demands, which, as they say, they cannot fulfill in any other way.
