spring sarajevo sunAlthough there is generally unstable weather with rains these days, there is no reason to fear that there will be floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) says Fahrudin Solak, the director of the Federal Civil Protection Administration (FUCZ).

According to the forecasts of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH, more rainfall is expected in the northern, northeastern and central regions of BiH.

“Last few days, there was a lot of rainfall that did not cause any major and significant damage. Also, there was no need for the civil protection in BiH to intervene,” Solak said.

Director of FUCZ adds that, in addition to stable forecasts, one should always be on the alert, especially after the hard rainfall in the region.

From today’s afternoon, the weather is expected to clear up and stabilize. Stable and sunny weather will remain until June 19th when the first tropical nights are also expected. According to forecasts by meteorologist Dzenan Zulum, short-term local spills in the central and eastern regions of BiH may happen early next week.
