The Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) confirmed yesterday that there are no traces of a criminal act in connection with the tragic death of Zrinjski football player Karim Gazzetta (27), a citizen of Switzerland.
They stated that after the external examination and autopsy of Karim Gazzetta’s body, which was performed on November 23rd at the Bijeli Brijeg morgue in Mostar, the written report of the pathologist arrived.
”As the autopsy report showed, the death was violent and occurred due to damage to vital brain centers and other injuries to the bones of the skull and bleeding, which are the result of the body falling to the ground from a great height.”
”Based on the investigative and other police actions, as well as the autopsy findings, it can be concluded that there are no traces that would indicate the existence of any criminal offense in this case,” the HNC Prosecutor’s Office concluded.
To recall, on November 21st, at 2:50 a.m., the unfortunate Gazzetta jumped from the eighth floor of the ”Orka” building in Mostar, where he had been living since arriving at the Mostar club Zrinjski this summer from the Swiss club Neuchatel Xamax FCS.
