The Instagram page Rare Photos of Sarajevo published an interesting photo of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Do you know which part it is?

Namely, it shows the Pošta hotel, which is located across the street from the National Theater. This is an object of cultural-historical heritage and is recognized as such on the list of the Cantonal Institute for the Protection of Cultural-Historical and Natural Heritage of Sarajevo.

At the beginning of 2020, it was announced that a seven-story building with an underground garage on four floors should be built on the site of the former Hotel Pošta.

The company “Malcom” said that it is not possible to bring the existing building into a condition for use due to damage and that it poses a danger to people’s safety.

After that, the citizens held a protest meeting against the construction of the new facility and. Many consider the Pošta Hotel a symbol of a time that should be additionally protected, Klix.ba writes.
