sarajevska-zaobilaznicaIn less than three months two important tunnels that are almost four kilometers long on Vlakovo-Tarčin have been pierced, and we can say that we are closer to the goal to have 102 kilometers in function of a modern highway by the end of the year, said Director of FB&H Autoceste Ensad Karić to Fena.

The complied deadline for piercing the tunnel Gaj is another confirmation of the success of FB&H Autoceste and proof that construction works on Corridor 5C is going according to plan.

At this moment work is being done from Sava to Odžak, then tunnel 1 March and the continuation from the exit to Zenica, then the part near Tarčin and a part in the south, from Kravice towards Zvirovići. The first that would be completed is the part Butile – Vlakovo.

The new traffic dimensions will be felt for B&H citizens, particularly Sarajevo citizens, starting from 1 July when two thirds of the Sarajevo bypass will be put into function, or the nine kilometers of highway. At normal speed, it would take less than five minutes to pass it, and it would not be necessary to go past the city and traffic. The tolls on the Sarajevo bypass will not be charged.
