BiH signs an Agreement on Cooperation with the WHO

600_1475755795osmanovic-whoMinister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adil Osmanović and Regional Director of the World Health Organization for Europe Zsuzsanna Jakab signed yesterday in Copenhagen a two-year Agreement on Cooperation for the period of 2016/2017, stated the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.

Minister Osmanović thanked the Regional Office of the WHO for Europe for their efforts invested in achieving equality and responsibility in health sector, in accordance with the important European documents and the European policy “Health 2020”.

“Health authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina are striving to give greater contribution to the global and European action policies and plans for the strengthening of capacities of services in public health sector,” said Osmanović and emphasized the importance of this agreement for BiH as a member of the World Health Organization and the future member of the European Union.

Delegation of BiH, which includes the Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH Adil Osmanović, Minister of Health of FBiH Vjekoslav Mandić, Minister of Health and Social Protection of Republika Srpska Dragan Bogdanić and Head of the Department for Health and other Services of the District Brčko BiH Anđa Nikolić, is staying in an official ministerial visit to the Regional Office of WHO for Europe, located in Copenhagen.

The aim of the visit is for the representative of health authorities in BiH to get information about the work of the WHO on global and national level.
