Wind in Bjelasnica Mountain reaches 133 Kilometers per Hour

At the top of Bjelašnica Mountain, a stormy winds reach speeds of up to 133 kilometers per hour, which is why skiers and other visitors are warned to be responsible and careful, the Olympic Center “Bjelašnica and Igman” announced.

“The wind currently reaches a speed of 114 kilometers per hour at the intermediate station, while at the top of Bjelašnica it reaches a speed of 133 kilometers per hour. For these reasons, the six-seater is not in operation,” the Olympic Center announced.

Today, an orange weather alert is in effect throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina due to increased and at times stormy winds.

In Bosnia today, the weather will be mostly cloudy with light rain in the lowlands and snow in the higher areas, and light snow will also fall in the lowlands from the afternoon. Mostly cloudy weather with light rain in Herzegovina in the morning, and clearing for the most part in the second part of the day. Cloudy with light snow will remain in the north of Herzegovina.

The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute (FHMZ) of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued an orange warning for today for the entire area of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to increased, at times, stormy winds.

The highest daily air temperature is generally between 1 and 6 degrees Celsius, in the south from 7 to 12.

Mostly cloudy weather with light snow is expected in Bosnia and northern Herzegovina on Sunday. Sunny in most of Herzegovina. Wind moderate and strong from the north. The lowest morning air temperature is mostly between – 7 and – 2 degrees Celsius, in the south up to 2. The highest daily air temperature is mostly between – 4 and 1 degrees, in the south up to 6.

On Monday, mostly cloudy weather in Bosnia and in the north of Herzegovina. Light snow will fall locally. Sunny in most of Herzegovina. Moderate northerly wind. Occasional strong gusts of wind in Herzegovina and southwest Bosnia. The lowest morning air temperature is mostly between – 9 and – 3 degrees, in the south of the country up to 0. The highest daily air temperature is mostly between – 5 and 0 degrees, in the south of the country up to 5 degrees Celsius.
