Wizz Air, a low-tariff airline, is planning to decrease its flights from the Tuzla airport in the winter season 2017-18 by temporarily stopping three routes, according to exyuaviation.com.

This airline will stop its flights to London Luton, Bratislava and Nuremburg on November 1.

In a reply from Wizz Air, they said that they are seeking out the cheapest possible flights for all users so some flights are sustainable in the summer period only. It was neither confirmed nor denied that the flights would be resumed next one.

Wizz Air noted that it will continue to work on developing the air traffic sector in the country in the upcoming period.

“Wizz Air remains dedicated to its travelers in BiH. We will try to stimulate the air industry and we will continue offering accessible offers of travel in order to fill the need of our users,” the company said.

They did not comment whether the route suspensions will affect the number of airplanes stationed in the city during the winter period.

Currently, Tuzla hosts two Wizz Air Airbus A320 airplanes.

Tuzla International Airport marks a large growth in the number of passengers, which was 226,462 in the first half of 2017 or 59.4% more than in 2016.
