Malaysia to have a large delegation at the Sarajevo Halal Fair 2018

Malaysia will have a large delegation at the Sarajevo Halal Fair 2018. In addition to the previously announced video-address of the Malaysian Prime Minister H.E. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed, the Sarajevo Halal Fair 2018, which will be held from September 27th to 29th, will host numerous representatives from the government, business and academia fields from Malaysia in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Among others in the delegation of Malaysia who will attend the SHF 2018 will be the Minister in the Prime Minister’s department H.E. Dato Mujahid Yusuf Rawa, as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia H.E. Senator Dato Marzuki Yahya.

Deputy Minister of Primary Industries of Malaysia H.E. Shamsul Iskandar bin Md. Akin will lead a delegation of 25 businessmen from the Aluminum of the International Islamic University of Malaysia. SHF 2018 will be also attended by 20 businessmen from the National Chamber of Commerce of Malaysia for the Kelantan Federal State, led by Chamber Adviser Mr. Mohd Rosley Ismail.

Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) 2018 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a chance to share experiences and accomplish cooperation with institutions of the Government of Malaysia, such as the Islamic Development Department Malaysia (JAKIM), Halal Academy of Malaysia, representatives of the National Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Trade of Malaysia (MATRADE) and Dagang Halal, a platform aimed at facilitating the promotion of halal products and services.

Sarajevo Halal Fair (SHF) 2018 will be attended by representatives of companies such as Berjaya Corporation Berhad, one of the biggest Malaysian corporations, owned by the Tan Sri Vincent Tan, who is one of the leading business people in Malaysia and the owner of the football club Sarajevo.

In addition, Bina Integrated Industries Group; Primabumi which is one of the biggest Malaysian pharmaceutical products and medical equipment distributers; Silverlake Group which is the software company; GISB Holding – company based on the Islamic business principles in different manufacturing and serving sectors; Felda Travel (subsidy of the FELDA Holdings) company for tourism and travel; as well as marketing company such as Geo Artha, will be taking participation on Sarajevo Halal Fair 2018.

In order to create business opportunities between Bosnian and Malaysian businessmen, BBI VIP Business Club, in collaboration with the Embassy of Malaysia in Bosnia and Herzegovina will hold a business event „Business Roundtable Bosnia and Herzegovina – Malaysia” on September 27, 2018.

Along with Bosna Bank International (BBI) d.d. Sarajevo, organizers of the SHF are Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
