Within the deadline for appeals, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina received more than 3,500 submissions, which it is currently considering. If there is a legal basis, the CEC of BiH will correct the data in the Central Voters’ List on the basis of submissions before its conclusion, and where there is no basis for the Central Election Commission of BiH to accept the appeal, it will submit it to the Court of BiH for decision.

”We would like to inform the public that the Central Election Commission of BiH will receive evidence of attempted election fraud until the results of the Local Elections 2020 are confirmed and the mechanisms provided by the Election Law of BiH will prevent all election irregularities,” it is stated in the press release.

More than 100,000 voters abroad have registered to vote in the local elections to be held on November 15, 2020. Also, more than 27,000 voters who wanted to register were turned down, Klix.ba news portal writes.

At its 59th emergency session held on Thursday, the Central Election Commission of BiH passed a Decision on determining and announcing the number of voters entered in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ List for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2020 Local Elections.

The decision determined that a total of 101,771 voters would be on the excerpt from the Central Voters’ List for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The Central Election Commission of BiH will publish this excerpt on its website, taking into account the protection of personal data ” the CEC said.

At the same session, the Central Election Commission of BiH passed a decision rejecting the entry in the excerpt from the Central Voters’ List for voting outside Bosnia and Herzegovina for 27,960 voters.
