141027083.1_xlThe resident coordinator of the UN in B&H, Yuri Afanasiev said today in Doboj that the Embassy of Romania in B&H provided around 50 000 Dollars for the renewal of the playground in this town. The volunteers are in charge of the works to be done.

“Besides five playgrounds within the school and pre-school institutions, the volunteers will today be decorating another seven locations that are already in the phase of “renewal” – said Afanasiev during construction works at the playground for children with special needs near the elementary school “Vuk Stefanović Karadžić” in Doboj.

The UN Day under the motto “For many days of joy and play” during which volunteers are decorating children’s playgrounds within the program destined to renewal after the floods was marked today in Doboj.

The president of the Association of the citizens for helping children with special needs in Doboj, Sanja Živković said that this playground is the first playground of that type in the town.

“The playground will be used by the members of the Association, disciples of this elementary school and members of the Centre for children with disabilities.” – said Živković.

She stated that the Association has 220 registered members up to 18 years and around 40 users over 18 years of age.

The UN day is being marked all around the world by various activities like for example reminding of the adopting of the Charter of UN and its basic principles – global tolerance, dialogue and peace.
