After CEC determines Election Results, Subjects can submit the Request for Recount after 3 Days

Only after the BiH CEC publishes determined election results, the subjects listed in Article 5.30, paragraph (1) of the BiH Election Law can within three days submit the request for recount only under conditions and as prescribed by the aforementioned Article.

The BIH CEC has today rejected 19 requests for recount of ballots for certain polling stations and levels of authority as premature or as premature and submitted by unauthorized person. The BiH CEC has at today’s session passed the decision pronouncing pecuniary fines to a political party and its candidate.

It has been determined that the political party Alliance of Independent Social Democrats -SNSD is responsible for Milorad Dodik, candidate of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats –SNSD for the member of BiH Presidency, using on 04.10.2018 language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law. Therefore, the following sanction is pronounced in line with Article 6.7, point 1 and by application Article 19.9, paragraph (1), point j) of the BiH Election Law:

– pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 7.000 (seven thousand Convertible Marks),

It has been determined that Milorad Dodik, candidate of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats –SNSD for the member of BiH Presidency has on 04.10.2018 used language which could provoke or incite someone to violence or spread hatred thus violating rules of conduct in the election campaign set forth by Article 7.3, paragraph (1), point 7) of the BiH Election Law. Therefore, the following sanction is pronounced in line with Article 6.7, paragraph (1), point 1 and Article 19.9, paragraph (4) of the BiH Election Law:

– pecuniary fine in the amount of BAM 5.000 (five thousand Convertible Marks).

The decision is not final and can be appealed before the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH within two days following receipt of the decision.
