Analysis: The Average Net Salary in Republika Srpska

In the Republika Srpska, the average net salary paid in July was 1,278 BAM and is six BAM less compared to the one paid in June, the Republic Union of Trade Unions announced today.

The highest average salary in July was paid in the field of financial and insurance activities and amounted to 1,724 BAM, while the lowest average salary was paid to workers in the field of transport and storage in the amount of 961 BAM.

Low average salaries of 971 BAM for the same month were received by workers employed in construction, as well as the activities of providing accommodation, food preparation and serving, hotel and catering, which had 1,009 BAM, it was stated in the announcement.

The union consumer basket for July is 2,479 BAM and the average salary covers it with 51.55 percent.

Families in Republika Srpska spent the most money on food 1,121 BAM, on housing and communal services 617 BAM, on transport 225 BAM, and on current household maintenance 135 BAM.

The purchase of shoes and clothes in July cost 184 BAM.
