The Attache for Labor and Social Issues at the Austrian Embassy in BiH Oliver Hiller said today in Sarajevo that the Austrian Program “Red-White-Red Card” is opening its doors for BiH workers in 25 areas that are in short supply.
Speaking on the short supply, he said that, among other things, the areas are carpentry, work on agricultural machines, locksmithing, plumbing, electrical installation, mechanical engineering and engineering for high voltage and nurses.
He said that the number of workers that could find a job in Austria is not limited. He noted that in Austria there are currently around 35.000 employees from BiH.
The Director of the Agency for Labor and Employment of BiH Adnan Delić recalled that the Austrian government launched the program “Red-White-Red Card” two years ago, which defines 25 areas in short-supply in the Austrian Labor Market.
“BiH takes first place in the use of this program, and until now 360 workers from BiH found have found a job in the Austrian labor market’’, said Delić.
He said that the goal is to present the program “Red-White-Red Card” for the army of unemployed people, and to clearly define what is in short supply in Austria, what awaits BiH employees on the Austrian market, and in what way they could enter the program.
Delić explained that all those interested could find the questionnaire on the website of the Austrian Ministry for Labor.
“On this website, there is a questionnaire that all interested should fill in, and which gives a certain number of points. The minimum number of points to participate in the program “Red-White-Red Card” is 50, and the maximum is from 70-80’’, said the Director of the Agency for Labor and Employment of BiH.
