By reminding on the Winter Olympic Games ’84 to meet the EYOF 2019

zoi 8432 years ago the city of Sarajevo hosted the 14th Winter Olympic Games, the best organized Winter Olympics in the history of Olympism until then.

In three years, from 10th to 15th of February, Sarajevo and East Sarajevo will be sports centers of Europe and the world with the organization of the European Youth Olympic Festival, which will gather about 1,600 athletes from more than 50 European countries, who will compete in seven sports, in 16 disciplines.

EYOF 2019 will not only be a sports manifestation for five days, but also the opportunity for the development of sport and tourism and opportunity to create a serious competitors and serious conditions for winter sports. This event is an opportunity to invite all the tourists and those who enjoy winter sports to continue to actively visit B&H, after the Olympic festival, our Olympic Mountains and other sites in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo. Also, this winter’s Youth Olympic Festival is a unique tourist and economic potential for the development of Sarajevo and East Sarajevo.

It is expected from the entity governments to invest significant funds for the rehabilitation and construction of sports infrastructure and all other necessary objects at the Olympic mountains Jahorina, Bjelasnica and Igman, and important B&H companies, banks, private companies to show their social responsibility by providing funds for the maintenance of events as part of this festival.

During the next period the necessary activities will be done in order to establish a new organizational committee of EYOF.
