Citizens gathered at the Protests in Sarajevo, demand Unblocking of Institutions

Hundreds of citizens gathered to protest in front of the Parliament of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in Sarajevo.

The citizens announced large protests for yesterday, but the rain greatly ruined their plans, so only a hundred citizens came. This is certainly a higher number than those from previous protests, which were held at several locations in Sarajevo.

The demands of the citizens are normal life, unblocking of institutions, and de-escalation of the crisis.

At yesterday’s protests, which lasted until 5 p.m., the organizers noted: “Those who are satisfied can stay at home.” Citizens were making noise with whistles and shouting “Bosnia”, “Thieves”, “Fascists”, “Resignations”, and similar.

Also, many of them brought the interesting banners that read: “We also want to feed ourselves in the Parliament”, “Fish and guests begin to stink after 3 decades“, “Sheep in pens, citizens in the Parliament”, “Abolish two schools under one roof”.

It is important to mention that during the previous protests, the citizens gathered in front of the United States (U.S.) Embassy in BiH, where they asked Joe Biden to visit Sarajevo, and they also protested in front of the building of the European Union (EU)Delegation to BiH and the Office of the High Representative (OHR).
