The representatives of the party groups that two days ago signed the coalition document on the establishment of government at the state level in Bosnia and Herzegovina also agreed in principle on the distribution of seats in the departments of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Subsequently, as announced, they will discuss the issue of who will personally head which ministry.

According to the statement of Dragan Čović, the parties gathered around the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) of which he is the leader, then the “Eight” and the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), agreed in principle that three ministries should belong to the “Eight”, and that four ministries should be headed by cadres from Republika Srpska with the provision that the “Eight” and SNSD agree on the fourth, as well as that two ministerial seats belong to HDZ cadres.

It is already known that Borjana Krišto, a member of the HDZ, is a candidate for the chairmanship of the BiH Council of Ministers.

Čović told journalists that the new coalition partners will make efforts so that Bosnia and Herzegovina receives a new convocation of the Council of Ministers by the end of this year, and the issue of adopting the state budget for 2023 will have a special, accelerated dynamic in their actions.
