On the occasion of the beginning of implementation of project of the first integrated tourist town “Buroj Ozone” in Trnovo, whose starting investment value amounts to around a billion Dollars, the presentation of this project was held yesterday in the City Hall in Sarajevo.
The project was presented to the press by the signatories of the final Contract, the Mayor of Trnovo Municipality Ibro Berilo, Director Executive of the company “Buroj Property Development” Ahmed Ismail, and the Director of the Institute for Development Planning of the Sarajevo Canton Hamdija Efendic.
The first integrated tourist town “Buroj Ozone” will be constructed at the total area of around 137 hectares at the locality of the “Sports recreational center Bjelasnica – Donja Grkarica – Precko Polje – Kolijevka”, at the territory of the Igman cadastral municipality Dejcici in the Municipality Trnovo.
Efendic said that, in urban sense, the area is acceptable for the construction of this investment and that it is being worked on the design of the first draft, which is a complicated and challenging task since it is to be worked on a completely unconstructed area.
Efendic pointed out that the initial desire of the investors is the preservation of natural resources, especially of the water protection zone.
Mayor Berilo pointed out to the great richness which the Municipality Trnovo possesses and emphasized that a “serious and positive story” is being created with this project.
“It is our wish to develop broader area, besides the Municipality Trnovo. This is a partnership between B&H, Europe, and the investors from the United Arab Emirates”, Berilo noted.
The Director of the company “Buroj Property Development” Ismail Ahmed recalled of his first arrival in B&H where he saw new investment possibilities, but for him Trnovo was the “the most beautiful part of the area which he had ever seen in his life”.
“B&H is a country rich in natural resources and beauty, and every serious person thinks about investing. The mission was difficult, but we headed in the right direction. We are focusing on the investments from the Gulf countries, then on Europe, and then on the local communities”, Ismail said.
