Which Country’s Tourists are the most Frequent in RS?

The number of arrivals and overnight stays in Republika Srpska, one of the two entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is dominated by guests from Serbia and, as of recently, by guests from Turkey.

They drove Slovenes and Croats from the 2nd and 3rd place.

According to the data of RS’s Statistical Office, in September 2017, 32,188 tourist arrivals were marked in RS, which is 5.2% less compared to August, when 69,459 overnight stays were registered, which is 13.8% decrease compared to July.

At the same time, the number of tourist arrivals in September 2017 increased by 11.4% compared to the same month the previous year and the number of overnight stays increased by 9.3%.

The statistics calculated that in September 2017 the number of foreign tourists (17,254) was higher than domestic ones (14,934).

In September, 4,480 tourist arrivals from Serbia were registered in tourist centers, with 9,318 overnight stays, while 2,105 arrivals and 2,206 overnight stays were registered from Turkey. Compared to the same month last year, their number in the RS rose by 4.6%.

In 3rd and 4th placea are citizens of Slovenia, with 1,688 arrivals, and Croatia, with 1,390 arrivals.

In the first nine months of this year, 258,173 tourists visited RS, which is 4.1% more than last year. In September 2017, RS had 10,247 permanent beds.
