Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Denis Zvizdic, stated that foreign investments in BiH have reached a total of nine billion BAM, and that investors created more than 20.000 new workplaces.

“Foreign investments are very important for achieving greater efficiency of the companies, development of technology, transfer of new skills and knowledge, and winning new markets for BiH. There is no growth and development in BiH without foreign investors,” said Zvizdic in Sarajevo.

He also stated that foreign investments are very important component of business activities and that they contribute to improvement of competitiveness, employment and total economic increase and development, as announced from the Council of Ministers of BiH.

Zvizdic stated that Council of Ministers BiH invested large efforts in order to improve business environment and attract investments during the last four years.

He also added that foreign investments were increased by 57.3 % in the year of 2017 in comparison to previous year, and 26.3 % in relation to five-years average.

It was stated that one of the key messages of Barometer is that 77 % of investors is considering that business environment in BiH is unpredictable.

“I am well aware of the fact that this affects the possibility of attracting foreign investments and I believe that this will be one of the priorities in the future period. We expect that BiH will get the status of candidate country, and that messages of instability will be forgotten after October”, noted Zvizdic.
