Energa 2017: Energy Priorities and Investment Potentials to be in Focus

Energa 2016 (5)The project “Energa”, the fair-conference regional energy event, will gather more than 100 exhibitors and 150 participants in the conference part of the project in the Center Skenderija from June 6 to 8.

The conference program will treat current issues in the sector of energy during the three days of fair. The program committee of the conference “Energa” put special focus on strategic energy priorities and investment potentials of BiH this year.

On the first day of the conference, on June 6, within the session “Strategic priorities in BiH” will be discussed topics of planning of expansion of production in the energy sector of BiH in the period from 2016 to 2036 and the investment potential of the energy sector, and speakers on this session will be representatives of competent ministries and state institutions from both entities.

Actual topic “Establishment of the organized market of electricity in BiH” will be the topic of the first conference session on the second day of the fair, and topics of opening and the future of the electricity market in BiH will be discussed on this session. Speakers will be representatives of relevant ministries, then regulatory agencies, operators, and producers of electrical energy.

The chances for improvement of the profitability of investments in the sector of bio-energy will be also discussed through separate sessions, as well as the always current topic of energy efficiency with a special focus on the energy efficiency of residential buildings.

On the session of Canton Sarajevo will be discussed communal energy sector and the economy of this canton, as well as the issue of supply of heating energy, gas and water, and the potential of renewable energy sources in the CS.

On the last day of “Energa” will be held the session “Info day on renewable energy sources”, within which will be organized a panel discussion on the topic of the Electric car – “green” vehicle of the future.

The project “Energa 2017” is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of the FBiH, Government of Canton Sarajevo and the City of Sarajevo.
