Numerous natural beauties make Bosnia and Herzegovina an increasingly popular tourist destination, and in the coming months, tourists from all over the world are expected on Vlašić mountain.

“We are planning the official opening of the winter season on Vlašić from December 13 to 15 together with Šankanje. When it comes to the ski fields, everything has been inspected, we are only waiting for more snow and we hope for a record season. When will the ski season start at this moment I really don’t know, but there is great interest in wintering in Vlašić and most of the capacities are booked center of Travnik, where four hotels have been built in the last few years, and the ‘Plava voda’ hotel is currently being built. This is a great success because it means that we are recognized as a favorite tourist destination,” said the director of the Central Bosnian Canton Tourist Board, Miroslav Matošević.

When it comes to the 13th “Sankanje” in a row, the organizers have prepared a high-quality and varied program this year as well. Thus, on December 13, Saša Matić, Ivana Selakov and DJ Shone will perform, and the day after Milica Todorović, Šejla Zonić and DJ Atila.

“‘Šankanje’ has become a recognizable brand among the younger population and currently holds the status of the best winter festival in BiH. The first Šankanje was organized in 2011 and since then it has traditionally been held on the Vlašić mountain in the second half of December, gathering an increasing number of visitors.

And these “The concerts will be held in the fair and festival tent measuring 60 by 20 meters, which can accommodate more than 3,000 people,” announced the organizers of “Šankanja”.
