In the structure of exports and imports fruits dominates, especially berries, which makes more than one third of BH exports, namely frozen raspberries (55 million), followed by pears (14 million), apples (14 million), cucumbers (13 million) and plums (eight million).

In 2016 BiH  imported bananas (47 million), apples (14 million), oranges (14 million), tomatoes (14 million) and lemon (12 million). The main export markets were Serbia, Russia, Germany, Croatia and Sweden, while mostly imported from the countries in the region, as well as from Italy, Turkey and the Netherlands.
