Foreign Exchange Reserves of the Central Bank of BiH increased by 247.6 million BAM

Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of July amounted to 15.57 billion BAM and are higher by 247.6 million BAM or 1.6 percent compared to the previous month, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

Compared to the previous month, deposits with non-resident banks increased by 377.2 million BAM or 4.8 percent, while investments in securities decreased by 74.5 million BAM or 1.1 percent, as well as foreign currency in to the treasury of the Central Bank for 77.7 million BAM or 14.6 percent.

Total loans to domestic sectors at the end of the seventh month amounted to 22.81 billion BAM and are higher by 84.6 million BAM or 0.4 percent compared to June.

Credit growth was registered in the household sector by 81.2 million BAM or 0.7 percent, government institutions by 3.3 million BAM or 0.3 percent, and in other domestic sectors by 12.8 million BAM or 6.1 percent.

A decrease in credit growth was registered with private companies by 6.9 million BAM or 0.1 percent and non-financial public companies by 5.7 million BAM or one percent.

The annual growth rate of total loans in July was 4.8 percent, nominally 1.05 billion BAM.

The annual growth of loans was registered by the household sector by 635.6 million BAM or 5.9 percent, by private companies by 314 million BAM or 3.4 percent, by non-financial public companies by 85.8 million BAM or 17 percent, and by other domestic sectors for 54 million BAM or 32.1 percent.

Reduction of credit growth on an annual level was registered with government institutions by 41.9 million BAM or 3.9 percent.
