12910612_1746296715607005_1900935106_nA group of prominent public figures from BiH and the world, shocked by the news of the arrest of Florence Hartmann, expressed strong disapproval and protest against “the shameful decision of the security services of the Hague Tribunal”, and they demand the immediate release of Hartmann.

They emphasized that Hartmann is a person who dedicated her life to the defense of freedom, justice and truth.

“We remind the public that she is the honorary citizen of Sarajevo, and that her arrests is an insult to the citizens of Sarajevo who awarded her for her unwavering support and assistance that she generously provided during the siege of their city – exactly the support and assistance that they did not have from those who arrested her. The prosecution, judgment and arrest of Hartmann is a violation of Article 10 of the European Convention on human rights and freedoms,” as stated in the support, urging all people of good will to join their protest through the Facebook page “Release Florence Hartmann”.

Among the many signatories are: Association “Mothers of Srebrenica and Žepa Enclaves”, Association “Women Victims of War”, Mothers for Peace (Meres pour la paix), Adil Kulenović, Ahmed Burić, Aleksandar Hemon, Anthoine Voerove, Bakira Hasečić, Baudouin Koenig, Beatrice Toulon, Besima Borić, Boro Kontić, Christian Savary, Christophe Solioz, Damir Uzunović, Danis Tanović, Dino Mustafić, Dominique Dupuy, Dženana Karup Druško, Ed Vulliamy, Eric Fageol, fra Ivo Marković, fra Mile Babić, fra Petar Jeleč, Hadžem Hajdarević, Hasija Borić, Ivo Komšić, Jasmila Žbanić, Jean-Michel Frodon, Jovan Divjak, Mile Stojić, Munira Subašić, Nataša Kandić, Nenad Dizdarević, Raphael Gluksmann, editorial board of Buybook, Tarik Samarah, Thomas Haley, Wolfgang Petrich and many others.
