Gupta: BiH has the full Support of NATO in preserving its territorial Integrity

”Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has the full support of NATO, which offers all its breadth and capacity to preserve peace, security, democracy, sovereignty, and its territorial integrity, ” according to the President of the Atlantic Council in BiH, Diana Gupta.

”EUFOR forces with the support of NATO in Sarajevo have a mandate granted through the Dayton Peace Agreement in preserving peace and security and that is never in question. We have hardly preserved peace in BiH, our state is sacred to us and all those who in any way advocate the dissolution of BiH, the overthrow of the Constitution, encroachment on sovereignty, are the enemies of BiH and our peoples, and most of all themselves, ” noted Gupta.

Further, she reminded that history has changed many administrations, but that BiH has never changed its borders. She thinks that BiH is much more than individual statements.

”Milorad Dodik is often in collision with what he says and does. He has fallen into a trap and I think it is best for him to return to the framework of BiH politics as a member of the Presidency from the ranks of the Serbian people. BiH trusted Dodik when he came to that position, now he must trust us and our peoples and engage in a dialogue of reconciliation and compromise, ”said Gupta.

When it comes to the rhetoric that is present in the media from the member of the Presidency of BiH, she commented that she does not consider that testing the tolerance threshold of the International Community in BiH.

”We must have more dialogue with the countries of the region, such as Serbia and Croatia because they are also countries that guarantee peace, co-signatories of the Dayton Agreement. We need more diplomatic capacity and multilateral meetings to build a partnership, economic, and other relations in the Balkans. That is something that must be constantly active and a priority, ” Diana Gupta told in an interview for agency Fena.

She pointed out that NATO is the most capable military-political alliance in the world, which can respond to any task at any time and in any place.

Gupta reminded that she is grateful to the member of the Presidency of BiH, Milorad Dodik, for putting his signature on the drafting of the national plan from the reform program in 2019.
