SnajderkaThe Citizens Association ‘Nova Generacija’ from Banja Luka, as part of the project ‘Using our Hands for a Solution’, is organizing a training for youth to gain skills in craft in order to strengthen their independent lives.

The project ‘Nova Generacija’ is financed by the Foundation ‘Mozaik’, and the aim is to help young people who do not have an education or who do not posses competitive skills required for the market to provide adequate training in handicrafts, which they can use to gain greater independency. The community would take part in this project primarily by training, and then donating goods, money and services.

‘Nova Generacija’ said that this project would train 40 young people (from 15 to 30 years old) who do not have the competitive skills for the labor market, and who use the services of the day center for children at risk, the children’s home “Rada Vranješević”, young people whose families are registered at the Center for Social Work Banja Luka and the Youth Center ‘Zdravo da ste’.

The trainings to be conducted are: plastering course, making gel-nails, welding course, repairing bicycles, cultivation of fruits and vegetables, sewing, making solar toys and creative workshops (jewelry, painting on glass, decoupage).
