INCKO ZVANIČNA FOTOGRAFIJAHigh Representative, Valentin Inzko, welcomes the decision  adopted yesterday in the House of People of the BiH Federation on the appointment of four judges at the council for the protection of vital national interests of the Constitutional Court of the Federation.

In a statement OHR was stated that this a crucial step and enables the Constitutional Court of the Federation to have the capacity to meet its constitutional jurisdiction, primarily to adjudicate in cases in which raises the question of the protection of the vital national interests.

Citizens of the Federation shall be entitled to the Constitutional Court in its full capacity, and this is a big step in that direction. There are still a few vacant positions in the Constitutional Court. The High Representative hopes that these positions will be filled after the summer holidays , announced the OHR.
