More than 100 people were killed in attacks across Gaza overnight, the Gaza Ministry of Health said.
The statement states that the number of victims is probably much higher because a large number of people are under the rubble.
Yesterday, Israeli planes destroyed the house of the famous Palestinian comedian Mahmoud Zaiter in Gaza, killing 23 people and wounding dozens, reports AFP.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government last night unveiled a plan for the post-war development of the Gaza Strip that calls for civilian affairs to be run by Palestinian officials who are not affiliated with Hamas.
The plan drew criticism from the US and was rejected by the Palestinian Authority and Hamas yesterday.
Under the plan, the Israeli military will have “unlimited freedom” of operation throughout Gaza.
Meanwhile, an Israeli delegation led by Mossad chief David Barney is in Paris today for talks on “unblocking” progress towards a ceasefire and the return of hostages held by Palestinian militants.
Barne will be joined by his colleague from the Shin Bet security agency, Ronen Bar, Israeli media reported.
