Municipality of Novi Grad awarded Families with Three or More Children

13624506_1792141764355833_1462193243_nIn the Municipality of Novi Grad in Sarajevo yesterday was held a reception and delivery of solutions for the allocation of financial assistance to 28 families, which got twins, third, fourth or more children this year.

In pleasant atmosphere and extraordinary gathering with the youngest citizens of the municipality and their parents, the Mayor of the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo Semir Efendic and Chairperson of the Municipal Council of Novi Grad Edina Gabela presented solutions, together with symbolic gifts for the older brothers and sisters and flowers for mothers, as announced from the Municipality of Novi Grad.

This is the support in the amount of 500 BAM, which the Municipality of Novi Grad awards for the second year with the aim of supporting the natality and strengthening of family.

Together with congratulations to happy parents, Mayor Efendic said that this symbolic award is for parents who have three or more children. He emphasized that the municipality of Novi Grad is the most populated municipality in BiH, and that he is very pleased with the fact that in the past two or three years was recorded increased number of children who enrolled in the first grade.

According to Edina Gabela, Chairperson of the Municipal Council of Novi Grad Sarajevo, a total of 179 families residing in the territory of this local community received this type of financial support in the last and this year.

“The project received a lot of support and we decided to continue with it. This year we have increased the budget for this purpose and allocated 70,000 BAM. Moreover, we are working on improving the environment for more quality life, both for the youngest residents of our municipality as well as for all our citizens,” said Gabela.

She invited families to visit and use the beautiful ambience of the Centre “Safet Zajko”, where they have a diverse facilities for children and parents at their disposal.
