National Team of BiH is the European Champion in Futsal for People with Diabetes

futsalThe national team of BiH won the European title in futsal for people with diabetes.

In the final match of the 5th European Championship, which was held in the hall “Ramiz Salcin” in Mojmilo, BH team won against the selection of Hungary with the score 2: 1.

In the group phase of competition, BH team won against Poland and Serbia, while they were defeated only by the championship of Russia.

In the quarterfinals, BH football players eliminated the double European champion Romania, and they defeated Ukraine in the semifinals. Both matches were ended after the penalty shootout.

A total of 16 national teams participated at the European Championship in futsal for people with diabetes.

Championship in futsal was part of the event of DiaEuro project under the organization International Diabetes Federation Europe (IDF Europe), which was held in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo under the slogan “Sport and diabetes can go together.”
