novalicPrime Minister of FBiH Fadil Novalic and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of FBiH Vesko Drljaca yesterday, at the headquarters of the Government of FBiH in Sarajevo, received a delegation of the Association of Pensioners of FBiH, led by President of the Assembly Omer Omerefendic and President of the Executive Board Mehmedalija Rap, and the Union of cantonal associations of pensioners, led by President Ivan Kozul.

The meeting resulted with few concrete conclusions, one of which is that the current deficit of the pension fund in the FBiH will be solved within next year to year and a half.

Also, it was agreed that, starting from this year’s pension in July, all pensions will be paid from the 5th to the 10th of the month.

One of the conclusions is that the Government of the FBiH will determine and submit Draft Law on Pension and Disability Insurance to the Parliament of FBiH by the end of August.

Moreover, as Prime Minister Novalic said in the introduction, this kind of meetings will be held regularly, at least once in 2 months, since the government and the retirement organizations are partners on the same mission, which can find the best solutions only through direct contacts. Moreover, the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of FBiH continues to maintain the current constant contacts with associations of pensioners.

Today was agreed to organize meeting of the Federal Minister of Finance and the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Policy with representatives of two pensioners associations, on which will be discussed the possibility of liberation from the payment of tax on funds from membership.

Representatives of pensioners emphasized satisfaction with measures taken by the Government, in order to stabilize the overall economic situation in the FBiH, which positively influenced on resolving the status of pensioners.
