Only One of the Three Iranian Nuclear Facilities was destroyed in the American Attacks

A new U.S. assessment has found that U.S. strikes in June largely destroyed one of three Iranian nuclear facilities targeted, but the other two were less severely damaged, NBC News reported, citing current and former U.S. officials.

The report said U.S. officials believe the strike on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility was successful in setting back uranium enrichment capacity by as much as two years, citing two current officials.

The two other facilities the U.S. attacked were not as badly damaged and may have been degraded only to the point that nuclear enrichment could continue for months if Iran so desired, the report added.

Reuters could not immediately confirm the NBC report. The White House did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.
