stan-sfrj-new-york-700x336Representatives of Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Slovenia agreed at the meeting held in Kranj almost a month ago to sell the diplomatic-consular property of Yugoslavia in Tokyo, Bonn, Bern and New York, including a six-room apartment in Manhattan.

After this agreement, governments of the mentioned countries published a tender for mediator in the sale of facilities estimated to 42 million USD.

It is believed that their value might be higher because the estimation was done ten years ago. According to the tender, countries are looking for one real estate agency which will sell two apartments.

Deadline for submission of bids is 30 days from the day of publishing and participants in the tender will be notified within 50 days from the day of closure of the tender. The entire process is led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia.

Among other things, participants in the tender will have to prove that they had the turnover of 100 million USD in the past three years.

According to the agreed procedure, international tenders were published in The Washington Post and The Economist.

Out of 123 properties owned by Yugoslavia, 72 facilities were allocated in the process of succession and 51 remained. Majority of the remaining facilities is used or maintained by Serbia.
