Mayor of the Municipality Centar Nedzad Ajnadzic and director of ”Unigradnja” Mustafa Durakovic signed a contract on the execution of works on the Square ” Susan Sontag ” in front of the National Theater in Sarajevo.
According to Ajnadzic, the value of the contract is 1,141.802 BAM, and financier of the project is the Municipality Centar.
“The building of the National Theater represents a brand of Sarajevo and we have to pay attention to projects that are bringing a new value to it. This is one of the central locations of the Sarajevo Film Festival, and that means that this square will be one of the biggest open cultural scenes in BiH,” said Ajnadzic.
Director of the National Theater in Sarajevo Marijela Hasimbegovic did not hide her excitement about the project of reconstruction of this square.
“The project has great importance for the National Theater and the city of Sarajevo. It is inappropriate for this square to be in the current state, and we will need a little bit of patience while the works are taking place. Access to the National Theater will be provided at any time so that the performance of plays will not be questioned,” noted Hasimbegovic.
The contract signing was attended by Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo Elmedin Konakovic and Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka.
