The Minister of Health of the Sarajevo Canton (cS), Haris Vranic, stated today that the epidemiological situation regarding the SARS / Covid-19 infection in CS has been stable for the last ten days and that the number of newly infected has not increased compared to ten days earlier.
Vranic informed the deputies at the session of the Assembly of CS about the epidemiological situation and, among other things, stated that the fact that there are not a large number of patients on full mechanical ventilation is encouraging.
According to the decision of the Crisis Staff of the Federation of BiH, about 30 percent of hospital capacities must be available to Covid patients and this decision is respected in clinical centers.
Vranic also stated that during September, the General Hospital “Dr. Abdulah Nakas ”received another respirator, and the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo two. He conveyed the position of the World Health Organization that the number of newly infected is not published, but only hospitalized.
The number of Covid-positive school-age children has also increased. But Vranic says that, fortunately, no child is in danger, and currently three children are hospitalized.
Children are more resilient and that is why, said Vranic, parents should not have increased care.
However, as he said, the problem is the parents of the child who has not been vaccinated, and can transmit the virus to the parents.
The Crisis Staff is also considering vaccinating children over the age of 15, Vranic concluded.
