The First Snowfall in the Mountains around Sarajevo

The change in weather that happened at the beginning of this week brought with it the first snowfall in the mountains around Sarajevo.

While the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been experiencing rainy weather for the second day, which has contributed to the “purification” of the air, the mountains around Sarajevo have received the first snowflakes since the beginning of 2023.

The snow whitened Trebević, but also Jahorina, Bjelašnica and Igman.

From what can be seen, there is still not enough snow for skiers to enjoy such scenes.

However, according to the forecasts of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute, sleet and light snow is expected during the night on Wednesday both in the lowlands and in the mountainous areas.
