These are the Five Candidates in the Elections in BiH who are on the Blacklists

Although all parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) are declaratively committed to the fight against crime and corruption, as well as to respect the constitution and all laws, some of them will put “people with a record” on their candidate lists.

We are talking about those party cadres and high-ranking officials who are on the United States (U.S.) and the United Kingdom (UK) blacklists due to well-founded suspicions of corrupt practices and undermining the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Milorad Dodik (SNSD) is on the U.S. and UK blacklists and is a candidate for the president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska (RS). His colleague Zeljka Cvijanovic is under UK sanctions, and she has a strong desire to enter the Presidency of BiH.

The third SNSD name on the U.S. blacklist is the Minister of Health of the RS, Alen Seranic, but despite this, the party has plans for him, so they put him on the Banja Luka list for the National Assembly of the RS (NARS). Nikola Spiric (SNSD) is under U.S. sanctions, but after many years, this political ace will not be a candidate in the General Election.

Marinko Cavara (HDZ BiH) was sanctioned by the U.S., but despite this, the party put him as the holder of the list for the Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZNC) and Central Bosnia Canton (CBC) for the Federal Parliament.

Although he retired from the position of president of the Movement of Democratic Action (PDA), Mirsad Kukic is still the mainstay of his political option, so he will be number 1 on the list for the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliament.

Unlike those mentioned above, the SDA, at least on the candidate lists for these elections, renounced the services of Asim Sarajlic, who is an actor in several affairs and a member of the U.S. blacklist. The same is the case with the former secretary of the SDA, Amir Zukic, who was sentenced to three years in prison for abuse of position in employment in public companies, Klix.ba writes.
