Vukanovic Files Criminal Charges Against Dodik Over Threats of Physical Violence

The leader of the Justice and Order party, Nebojša Vukanović, announced today that he will file a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) against former RS President Milorad Dodik for threats he made to him during a special session of the entity parliament, Beta writes.

“Last night, former RS President Milorad Dodik outdid himself, from the parliament rostrum he unleashed a new avalanche of insults against PDP MP Igor Crnadok and me, as well as a barrage of brutal threats and public calls for my physical removal,” Vukanović posted on his blog.

He assessed that the threats made to him by Dodik were “a textbook example of endangering his security and inciting violence, which further encourages his supporters to attack him on the streets throughout Republika Srpska”.

Vukanović stated that Dodik called him “an evil that should be attacked at every turn and step, beaten and physically destroyed so that he does not walk on the street. He threatened to physically attack me whenever he meets me on the street”.

“This is a step further than the previous threats from the March parliamentary session, when he and the President of the RS National Assembly Nenad Stevandić threatened me and the opposition, after which my vehicle was set on fire and my family home was attacked that same evening, which had tragic consequences for my family.”

Vukanović had previously announced that after the car was set on fire in front of the family home in Trebinje, his mother fell ill and died shortly after.

He added that Dodik’s public threats made last night were “silently supported by Stevandić and the deputies of the parliamentary majority”, which, as he assessed, “crossed red lines”.
