After the incident in Vlasenica, where Bosniak returnees were insulted and provoked, there was an even more serious incident in Potocari near Srebrenica, when shots were fired from a motor vehicle when the Christmas procession passed by Bosniak houses.

In the video, a column of vehicles accompanied by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS) can be seen passing by, and then the flash of gunfire from an older van can be seen.

The incident happened on Saturday afternoon when Serbs celebrating the Orthodox Christmas were parading between Bratunac and Srebrenica. According to known information, shots were fired in the air.

“The police officers of the Zvornik Police Department are familiar with the mentioned video and are taking measures and actions prescribed by law to establish the factual situation. You will be informed about everything in a timely manner,” the Zvornik Police Department stated.

The director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center Emir Suljagic also spoke about the incident, who wrote that this happens regularly and that the incident happened near the Memorial Center.

“This is a regular occurrence. The incident happened across the road from the Srebrenica Memorial Center. We cannot rely on EUFOR to provide security, because it is nothing more than a pale copy of UNPROFOR. As a rule, the local police are involved in such incidents. We are alone in this fight,” wrote Suljagic.

On Friday afternoon, an incident took place in Vlasenica when a motor vehicle shouted ”Ustajte Balije” (“Stand up Balije – a derogatory term for a Bosniak)” as the convoy passed.

The Zvornik Police Department confirmed that the incident took place and they are taking measures and actions under the supervision of the duty prosecutor of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office in Istocno Sarajevo, who ordered that a report be submitted to them after the completion of the case, Klix.ba writes.
