In the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo was signed an agreement on the payment of compensation for the expropriation of part of the land to the construction company ZGP. The land is required for the construction of a roundabout on the part of the road that is connecting with Safeta Zajke Street.

The European Investment Bank and the OPEC Fund will finance the construction of LOT 2C, and it will cost about 10 million BAM. The implementer of the project is PE Roads of the FBiH.

Thus were solved the property-related issues that represented an obstacle to the completion of the works on the last section of Sarajevo Bypass, which would connect the roundabout on Brijesce with Safeta Zajke Street, and which will enable direct connection to Corridor 5C from another direction, after its completion.

The construction of the last section of Sarajevo Bypass has great importance for the capital city of BiH and the Municipality of Novi Grad. LOT 2C will provide much better communication within the city and besides the underpass in Buca Potok on the 6th transversal and overpass on the 12th transversal with only two trails, it will provide the third passage over or under the railway that divides the Municipality of Novi Grad in two parts.

LOT 2C will have the same capacity and four trails will be constructed over the railway. This will double the capacity of the roads that are connecting the two parts of the municipality because the connection with LOT 2B and Stupska loop will be realized from Safeta Zajke Street and over the roundabout in Brijesce.

The Municipality of Novi Grad already commissioned the drafting of the project of LOT 2C, and after this project is completed, all passengers will be able to connect on the Corridor 5C from Alipasino Polje and Dzemala Bijedica Street.
