A Policewoman committed Suicide at the Train Station in Sarajevo

At the train station in Sarajevo, a police officer of the Ministry of Interior (MUP) of Sarajevo Canton committed suicide.

The KS MUP did not provide any more details and asked for understanding and professional reporting.

“We ask that you report on cases of suicide with due care and that in your texts you mention numbers for help to people who are thinking about suicide”, they stated in the appeal addressed to the media.

Police teams are on the ground and an investigation is currently underway.

If we notice suicidal intentions in someone, it is necessary and human to react. Conversation and support can be the trigger for a person to seek help and not become just another in a series of black chronicle news.

Citizens of Sarajevo Canton, every day from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., have five telephone lines for psychological help, provided by experts at the Center for Mental Health of the CS Health Center.

Citizens can contact the following numbers: 062 378 681; 062 378 827; 062 197 603; 062 378 992; 062 379 958.

Free psychological help is provided by the FBiH Red Cross every day from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The numbers you can call are: 060/ 343 – 0745; 062/040 653.

The non-governmental organization Islamic Relief BiH also provided free psychological support and counseling via the Viber / Skype application on the number: 062 911 477, every working day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The New Generation RS Association opened a free counseling line that has been in operation since March 12, and you can call the so-called Blue Phone 080/05 03 05.
