alma ras pogonFor over a decade now, Olovo is not only known for its forest resources and its thermal waters but as the centre of a notable textile company Alma Ras.

In 16 years of its existence, starting as a small family company, Alma Ras became the most famous brand and the leader in the fine underwear production, not only in B&H but wider as well. Alma Ras has 585 employees today, with a tendency to expand production and employ new workers.

In the production drives in Olovo, Vareš and Srebrenica the workers sew for the famous world brands like Dolce&Gabanna, Cavalli, Triumph and Calzedonia.

“Besides the work we do for the world brands, Alma Ras has its own line of man and women products. Our quality is perceivable in the through exporting too. Countries of the region showed their interest: Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia, Macedonia but Germany and South Korea as well. Around 35 % of the products is exported, and the rest is available in our sales net in B&H.” – said Almasa Memagić, the director of the Alma Ras company, and added that she is very happy that the production will have its place in Srebrenica too.

“The production drive in Srebrenica employs 50 workers and we are very glad that we had the chance to employ the people who came back in this part of our country. The financing funds we took from the BBI Bank resulted in buying new machines and expanding the production drive as well as in employing eight new workers.” – said Almasa Memagić.
