The Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FHZBiH) has issued a red warning for today due to high daytime temperatures in most parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 12:00 to 17:00.
Daily air temperatures are expected to be between 36 and 42 degrees, a few degrees higher in the south of the country.
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) recommends that citizens be prepared for high temperatures that will lead to health risks among vulnerable people, the elderly and young people.
Citizens are advised to be cautious, especially the elderly and children, and to avoid being outdoors during the hottest part of the day.
