Dodik: I will work for the Possibility of a peaceful Separation of BiH

Member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik, told at yesterday’s extraordinary press conference that he rejects the possibility of war, but that he will work on the peaceful separation of the state of BiH.

During his addressing reminiscent of those who are regularly held by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Dodik reiterated views that the state of BiH is not long-lasting and that separation is the best solution.

“I would agree with the Embassy of the United States (U.S.) that the entities have no prospects beyond BiH because without BiH the entities would no longer be entities but independent states. The conversation with Pahor that Mr. Komsic mentioned was as it was. They show off with the fact that they responded with the possibility of war, but who want to wage war nowadays. The only option that can be discussed is a peaceful separation. While I am sitting here I will not allow the possibility of war, not even for the Republika Srpska (RS), but I will work to achieve the possibility of peaceful separation, ” Dodik said while noting that he rejects the possibility of war, which, as he stressed, was mentioned by his colleagues from the Presidency, Komsic and Dzaferovic.

He repeated earlier views on the Central Election Commission (CEC), saying it was illegitimate.

“The situation with BiH is not good, but it has not been good before, so the stories about the European path are only a farce. The European Union (EU) does not have a clear perspective with the countries of the Western Balkans. Serbia has not had an open chapter on the EU for a long time now,” Dodik stated.

Most EU members would not meet the criteria required of us today, he continued, adding that the letter of the U.S. Secretary of State, Blinken, was balanced.

As he reiterated, the state level of government is unsuccessful and rotten, and the dominant story about changing the election legislation is bad.

“RS is out of that process because we have a prepared answer to that question. The impossibility of finding an agreement in the Federation of BiH (FBiH) leads to the appearance of Komsic in the Presidency, and there is not a single Bosniak who can say that it is something good. Depressing news that nothing is happening there and that no government can be formed in the FBiH, ” Dodik said.

Dodik mentioned at the beginning that vaccination was the right response to the pandemic and he expressed satisfaction with the efforts of health workers.

“That is not the volume we want, but it is the maximum in the conditions in which we are working on,” he said, pointing out that he would take 20.000 vaccines from President Vucic tomorrow.

He said that through the Sputnik and COVAX programs in RS, there are already over 700.000 vaccines provided.

“The level of BiH was not functional, but we will do everything to somehow overcome the pandemic. The virus is mutating and we often hear about the possibility of the appearance of the new mutations,” he said.

Then, he told that the real consequences would be noticed only later.

“After Serbia, RS had the lowest economic decline in the Balkans, which was lower than in BiH and FBiH. RS has good trends, so in May we will have an increase in salaries in health, education, police, and thus put pressure on the real sector to also increase salaries, ” he noted, Klix.ba writes.
