The Embassy of Egypt in Sarajevo, in partnership with the Ministry of Labor of the Arab Republic of Egypt, has announced a new initiative aimed at streamlining the recruitment and contracting of Egyptian labor for employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This program, fully endorsed and supervised by the Egyptian government, seeks to enhance employment opportunities while ensuring compliance with legal and labor standards in both countries.
Under this initiative, corporations and companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina seeking to employ Egyptian workers must submit specific documentation, including: an overview of the company and its activities, a commercial registration certificate, an operational certificate, a tax registration certificate and a social security certification.
The request to recruit Egyptian labor must be formally submitted through the Egyptian Embassy in Sarajevo, with approval from the relevant state authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina if required. Employers must clearly outline the job positions, qualifications, experience, language requirements, and remuneration packages, ensuring they align with local labor laws and market standards.
Additionally, employers are required to provide return airfare, accommodation (or a housing allowance), annual leave, and a structured work schedule for the recruited employees. The Ministry of Labor in Egypt will facilitate the recruitment process without intermediaries, ensuring transparency and efficiency. Once all necessary documentation is submitted, the ministry will issue an official announcement to attract qualified candidates, coordinate interviews, and oversee the selection process.
Companies can participate in the recruitment process remotely, in person in Cairo, or through an authorized representative. The Ministry of Labor will remain involved throughout the process, ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place until the selected workers are prepared to travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This initiative marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral labor cooperation and providing new employment opportunities for Egyptian workers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
