Residency of the former president of SFR Yugoslavia Josip Broz Tito, which is located on the Adriatic island of Vanga, will be opened to tourists 38 years after his death.

Everything is ready and prepared for the first visitors to come to Vanga, which has been closed to public for years, and they are preparing two VIP tours on Briuni, which will give the opportunity to tourists to see all the facilities that Tito used.

Jutarnji List reports that it is like the time has stopped on Vanga, everything is just like it was in Tito’s time, they preserved al the inventory that was used back then when Josip Broz was spending almost six months a year there and where he received all of his high-level guests from all over the world.

Tourists will be able to take a look at the part of the natural paradise that Tito discovered back in 1952. During Tito’s time, the island was guarded by the army and it was impossible to come anywhere near.

It is also planned for tourists to be able to visit the vineyard on Vanga, which continues to cultivate varieties of Malvasia, Merlot and Muscat, and the residence in its basement includes wines that cannot be purchased anywhere.

Tourists will be able to visit the Slovene room and the Indonesian fisherman’s salon as well as a photographic laboratory and a workshop from that time.

Tito used to receive special guests in his workshop for which there was no official protocol as in the White Villa.

Tourists will also have the opportunity to enjoy the ride in Tito’s “Cadillac”, and half an hour of ride will cost 700 EUR.
