Former Director of Tuzla International Airport suspected of illegally gaining One Million BAM

The Tuzla Canton Prosecutor’s Office submitted a report against the former director of the Tuzla International Airport, Rifet Karasalihovic on Wednesday.

There is a suspicion that while performing the function of the director of the Public ENterprise “Tuzla International Airport”, in the period from December 2018 to December 2019 in Zivinice, with the aim of obtaining illegal property gain for that legal entity, he committed the criminal offense of “Abuse of Authority”.

Namely, there are grounds for suspicion that R. K. spent the funds allocated from the Federal Budget in the amount of 1,000,000 BAM contrary to their purpose, BHRT reports.

“Inspectors of the Department for the Fight against Economic Crime and Corruption, in the period from December 2019 to September 2020, submitted a total of nine reports to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton against R.K. due to suspicion that it is the same in the period from December From 2015 to December 2019, while performing the duties of the director of PE “Tuzla International Airport”, he committed 15 criminal offenses of Abuse of Position or Authority under Article 383 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of BiH in conjunction with the criminal offense of Forgery of an Official Document Of the FBiH Criminal Code “, it is stated in the statement.
